CHRISTOPHER ANDREAS This is simply among the most beautiful music we have heard in a very long time. Has been constantly played (mostly late night) over the past many months. It sends one towards sleep though NOT in the sense of blandness or boring (absolutely not!); rather in the sense that it gently massages away the cares and anxieties of the day. Favorite track: Piano Tekstura #2.

Andrew Baxter Unassuming, captivating but not flashy, emotional but not effusive. Whenever I put this on I get sucked into listening. Favorite track: Piano Lumineuse.

about

Tekstura is a series of instrumental, piano based compositions. Aiming to combine melody and sonic texture deriving solely from the piano, the project started life as an investigation into sustaining tones using electronic bows on the piano strings. From these early experiments it expanded organically to incorporate a wider musical palette including the violin of former full time Placebo member Fiona Brice and the cello of Alice Allen.
